ЕКСТРАПОЛЯЦІЯ СТРАТЕГІЙ ЄС ДЛЯ РОЗВИТКУ МЕДІА ГРАМОТНОСТІ СТУДЕНТІВ У ВИЩІЙ ОСВІТІ УКРАЇНИ

Ключові стратегії, задля розвитку яких працює проєкт

зміцнення співробітництва щодо розвитку інформаційного суспільства (ст. 389 Гл.14 Угоди про Асоціацію між Україною, з однієї сторони, та Європейським Союзом, Європейським Співтовариством з атомної енергії і їхніми державами-членами, з іншої сторони);

сприяння імплементації національних стратегій інформаційного суспільства, розвиток всеохоплюючої нормативно-правової бази для електронних комунікацій та розширення участі України у дослідницькій діяльності ЄС у сфері ІКТ (ст. 390 Гл.14 Угоди про Асоціацію між Україною, з однієї сторони, та Європейським Союзом, Європейським Співтовариством з атомної енергії і їхніми державами-членами, з іншої сторони);

співробітництво з метою просування аудіовізуальної галузі в Європі, підтримки засобів масової інформації (громадських і приватних), з метою посилення їхньої незалежності, професіоналізму та зв’язків з іншими європейськими ЗМІ відповідно до європейських стандартів, зокрема стандартів Ради Європи (ст.396 Гл.15 Угоди про Асоціацію між Україною, з однієї сторони, та Європейським Союзом, Європейським Співтовариством з атомної енергії і їхніми державами-членами, з іншої сторони).

Метою є розвиток обізнаності студентів, викладачів, широкого загалу про основні напрямки політики ЄС у сфері медіа освіти та залучення вищих навчальних закладів України до європейського дискурсу медіаграмотності в умовах неспровокованого військового вторгнення Росії в Україну. Зазначений проєкт допомагає впровадженню євпропейського підходу до розуміння й розвитку медіаграмотності в суспільстві, сприяє поширенню навичок критичного мислення, необхідних для оцінки ситуацій, аналізу складних питань і розрізнення думок і фактів.

Завдання:

1) підвищення обізнаності молоді про європейський медіа-простір та протидія маніпуляціям у ньому, вироблення підходів, форм, методів і засобів, які б позитивно впливали на розвиток медіаграмотності та критичного мислення, враховуючи основні тенденції та ініціативи, охоплені важливими європейськими документами у цій галузі.

2) поширення медіа обізнаності громадян в умовах негативного впливу війни з урахуванням провідного досвіду країн ЄС у контексті сприяння міжкультурній комунікації, підтримці європейської інтеграції та подальшого міжнародного співробітництва.

Проєкт передбачає наступні навчальні заходи: «ОСНОВНІ ПРАКТИКИ МЕДІАГРАМОТНОСТІ ЄС ДЛЯ ФОРМУВАННЯ КРИТИЧНОГО МИСЛЕННЯ СТУДЕНТІВ У КОНТЕКСТІ НАВЧАННЯ ІНОЗЕМНОЇ МОВИ (для іноземних студентів)», «MAJOR EU PRACTICES ON MEDIA LITERACY FOR BOOSTING STUDENTS’ CRITICAL THINKING IN THE FRAME OF THE TARGET LANGUAGE LEARNING (для українських студентів, магістрантів, аспірантів)»; «Комплекс сертифікованих міжкультурних тренінгів «Diversity representation: overcoming stereotypes»; «Літня школа «Information: truth and fakes in Ukrainian and EU media space: correlation with EU practices»; «Methodological recommendations for educators of higher education institutions regarding to students’ media literacy (тренінг для освітян)». Крім того, EUSELENA проводитиме дослідження (результат: 3 статті, у тому числі 1 англомовна в Scopus або Web of Science CC).

Просування забезпечується розробкою та підтримкою веб-сайту проєкту (українською та англійською версіями) на домені jm.snau.edu.ua, роз’яснювальною діяльністю на різних рівнях (регіональному, місцевому та національному, щонайменше 2 заходи на рік). Проєкт передбачає наступний рівень залучення (навчання) цільових груп: студенти бакалаврату, магістратури та аспірантури, представників ЗМІ та неакадемічного сектору (в т.ч. політиків). Інші показники: друковані статті (академічні – 3), відвідування конференцій (всього 3), підготовлені дидактичні матеріали – 5 (двомовні – українська та англійська).

EU strategies extrapolation for boosting students’ media literacy in Ukrainian HE

Key strategies for the development of which the project works

– strengthening cooperation on the development of the information society (Article 389 Ch. 14 of the Association Agreement between Ukraine, on the one hand, and the European Union, the European Atomic Energy Community and their member states, on the other hand);

– promoting the implementation of national information society strategies, the development of a comprehensive legal framework for electronic communications and the expansion of Ukraine’s participation in EU research activities in the field of ICT (Article 390, Chapter 14 of the Association Agreement between Ukraine, on the one hand, and the European Union, the European the Atomic Energy Community and their member states, on the other hand);

– cooperation aimed at promoting the audiovisual industry in Europe, supporting mass media (public and private), strengthening their independence, professionalism and relations with other European mass media in accordance with European standards, in particular the standards of the Council of Europe (Article 396 Ch. 15 of the Association Agreement between Ukraine, on the one hand, and the European Union, the European Atomic Energy Community and their member states, on the other hand).

The goal is to develop students and faculties’ knowledge about the main directions of the EU policy in the field of media education and to involve higher educational institutions of Ukraine in the European discourse of media literacy in the conditions of Russia’s unprovoked military invasion of Ukraine. This project enables implementing the European approach to understanding and developing media literacy in the society, promotes the spread of critical thinking skills, necessary for assessing situations, analyzing complex issues and distinguishing between opinions and facts.

Tasks:

1) increasing the awareness of young people about the European media space and countering manipulations in it, developing approaches, forms, methods and means that would positively influence the development of media literacy and critical thinking, taking into account the main trends and initiatives covered by important European documents in this field.

2) spreading media awareness of citizens in the conditions of the negative impact of the war, taking into account the leading experience of the EU countries in the context of promoting intercultural communication, supporting European integration and further international cooperation.

The project provides the following educational activities: “BASIC EU MEDIA LITERACY PRACTICES FOR FORMING STUDENTS’ CRITICAL THINKING IN THE CONTEXT OF LEARNING A FOREIGN LANGUAGE” (for foreign students); “MAJOR EU PRACTICES ON MEDIA LITERACY FOR BOOSTING STUDENTS’ CRITICAL THINKING IN THE FRAME OF THE TARGET LANGUAGE LEARNING” (for Ukrainian students, Master’s and postgraduate students); “Complex of certified intercultural trainings “Diversity representation: overcoming stereotypes”; “Summer school “Information: truth and fakes in Ukrainian and EU media space: correlation with EU practices”; “Methodological recommendations for educators of higher education institutions regarding students’ media literacy”. In addition, EUSELENA conducts a scientific research, that includes: 3 articles, including 1 in the journal, indexed in Scopus or Web of Science database.

Promotion is provided by the development and support of the project website (Ukrainian and English versions) on the jm.snau.edu.ua domain, outreach activities at various levels (regional, local and national, at least 2 events per year). The project envisages the following level of involvement (training) of target groups: undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students, representatives of the mass media and the non-academic sector, high school students. Other indicators: printed articles (academic – 3), attendance at conferences (3 in total), prepared didactic materials – 5 (bilingual – Ukrainian and English).

ЛІНГВІСТИЧНИЙ ВИМІР

ПОНЯТТЯ «БЕЗПЕКА» ЯК ОСНОВНОЇ СКЛАДОВОЇ КОНЦЕПЦІЇ БЕЗПЕЧНОГО ОСВІТНЬОГО ПРОСТОРУ: ЄВРОПЕЙСЬКИЙ ДОСВІД

Проект має за мету досягнення наступних цілей:

 

– вивчення поняття «безпека» у його діахронічному та міжкультурному розвитку як основного компоненту європейських цінностей, розширення сучасних міждисциплінарних знань про цей феномен та розуміння ролі, яку відіграє безпека у розвитку когнітивних здібностей українських та іноземних студентів;

– розповсюдження та впровадження концепції щодо створення безпечного освітнього середовища в університеті; переваг і викликів Угоди про асоціацію між Україною і ЄС; впливу усвідомлення значущості безпеки як базової європейської цінності на основні цільові групи та українське суспільство;

– аналіз можливості й доцільності імплементації безпечного освітнього середовища на базі європейських культурних цінностей в українських реаліях сьогодення;

– визначення перспектив імплементації в Україні європейського досвіду створення безпечного освітнього середовища;

– дослідження основних принципів безпеки у міжкультурній комунікації та реалізації культурної політики ЄС.

Цільова група: науковці, викладачі, студенти та аспіранти, дослідники, громадські діячі, широкий загал.

Підготовка публікацій: навчально-методичні посібники, конспекти лекцій, збірки навчальних програм, матеріали конференцій.

Проведення наукових лінгвістичних та міждисциплінарних досліджень щодо впливу депривації первинної адаптивної потреби людини у безпеці на її когнітивні здібності та способи корегування такого впливу.

Очікувані результати: просування культури безпеки в галузі європейської інтеграції / європейської сфери безпеки в освітньому середовищі, а також стимулювання досконалості в навчанні та дослідженнях європейської безпеки.

Результати будуть спрямовані на гармонізацію політики ЄС у галузі безпечного освітнього середовища іноземців.

LINGUISTIC DIMENSION

OF THE NOTION “SECURITY” AS THE KEY COMPONENT OF THE CONCEPT OF A SAFE EDUCATIONAL SPACE: THE EUROPEAN EXPERIENCE

The project aims to achieve the following goals:

– To study the concept of “security” in its diachronic and intercultural development as the fundamental component of the European values, to expand modern interdisciplinary knowledge about this phenomenon and understand the role that security plays in the development of Ukrainian and international students’ cognitive ability.

– To disseminate and implement the concept of creating a safe educational space at the university; benefits and challenges of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU; the impact of realizing the significance of security as a basic European value on the main target groups and the Ukrainian society.

– To analyze possibilities and feasibilities of implementing a safe educational environment based on European cultural values in modern Ukrainian realities.

– To determine the prospects for implementing the EU experience in developing a safe educational space in Ukraine.

– To study the basic principles of security in intercultural communication and the implementation of the EU cultural policy.

Target group: Scientists, teachers, students, postgraduate students, researchers, public people, the general public. Publication preparation: textbooks, lecture notes, training syllabus collections, conference materials.

Conducting scientific linguistic and interdisciplinary research on the impact of deprivation of a person’s primary adaptive need for security on his cognitive abilities and ways to correct such an impact.

Expected outcomes: Promoting the culture of security in the field of the EU integration / European sphere of security in the educational space, as well as stimulating perfection in training and research on European security.

The results will be aimed at harmonizing the EU policy in the field of a safe educational space for foreigners.

Лінгвістичний вимір поняття «безпека» як ключовий компонент концепції безпечного освітнього простору

Кафедра іноземних мов Сумського національного аграрного університету розпочала виконання проєкту ERASMUS+ за модулем Жана Моне «Лінгвістичний вимір поняття «безпека» як ключовий компонент концепції безпечного освітнього простору: європейський досвід (101094386 – EUSPACED – ERASMUS) -JMO-2021-HEI-TCH-RSCH). Проект спрямований на вивчення поняття «безпека» в його діахронічному та міжкультурному розвитку як фундаментальної складової європейських цінностей, розширення сучасних міждисциплінарних знань про це явище та розуміння ролі, яку безпека відіграє в розвитку українських та іноземних студентів. пізнавальна здатність.

Foreign Languages Department of Sumy National Agrarian University has launched ERASMUS + project guided by Jean Monnet Module “The linguistic dimension of the notion “security” as the key component of the concept of a safe educational space: the European experience (101094386 – EUSPACED – ERASMUS-JMO-2021-HEI-TCH-RSCH). Назва проєкту: Лінгвістичний вимір поняття «безпека» як основної складової концепції безпечного освітнього простору: європейський досвід.

Тривалість проєкту: 36 місяців (01 листопада 2022 – 31 жовтня 2025 року)

Робочі пакети проєкту:

  1. Спецкурс «Зимова академія для викладачів ЗВО: Впровадження безпечного освітнього середовища іноземним громадянам на прикладі країн ЄС».

Спецкурс розроблений для організації та проведення 40-го навчання (20 годин лекцій та 20 годин семінарських практичних занять) для науковців, дослідників та викладачів у системі ЗВО України.

Мета спецкурсу:

Ознайомлення та усвідомлення значущості безпеки як базової європейської цінності.

Розповсюдження та впровадження концепції щодо створення безпечного освітнього середовища на базі європейських культурних цінностей в українських реаліях сьогодення.

Завдання спецкурсу:

Очікувані результати:

1)        Впроваджувати набуті знання в освітній простір України.

2)        Стимулювати розвиток поглядів та способів мислення щодо удосконалення безпечного освітнього середовища.

3)        Просування європейських цінностей в освітній простір України.

4)        Спрямувати результати на гармонізацію політики ЄС у галузі безпечної освіти іноземних громадян для мобілізації та провадження внутрішніх та зовнішніх ресурсів.

  1. Сертифікований курс «Вивчення поняття безпечного освітнього середовища» для іноземних студентів основних факультетів СНАУ.

ІІ семестр – 30

Сертифікований курс являє собою вибіркову дисципліну для іноземних студентів СНАУ.

Курс спрямований на усвідомлення іноземними студентами поняття «безпечного освітнього середовища» та впровадження набутих знань та вмінь для досягнення високих результатів у навчання та подальшій діяльності.

Складається з теоретичного та практичного матеріалу, що забезпечується заняттями в інтерактивній формі навчання.

Протягом сертифікованого курсу студенти повинні опанувати теоретичний матеріал, що включає широкий термінологічний спектр поняття «безпека». Вміти застосовувати отримані знання, адекватно реагувати та взаємодіяти з різного типу загроз.

  1. Проведення всеукраїнського соціолінгвістичного семінару «Поняття «безпека» у науковому та міжкультурному вітчизняному та європейському дискурсах». Секції: філологічна, філософська, педагогічна.

Мета конференції:

привернути увагу суспільства до актуальних проблем безпечного освітнього середовища;

згуртувати і підтримати українських та закордонних фахівців з метою формування професійної мережевої спільноти для обговорення актуальних проблем дослідження, обміну досвідом і науковими розробками;

надати можливість, використовуючи сучасні інформаційно-комунікаційні технології, презентувати свої наробки та новаторські ідеї, які можуть привернути увагу широкого кола фахівців та стати предметом дискусії;

сприяти розвитку європейських цінностей в Україні.

Work packages and activities

  1. A special course “Winter Academy for University Teachers: Implementation of Safe Educational Space for International Citizens on the Example of the EU Countries”

The special course is developed to organize and conduct 40-hour-training (20 hours of lectures and 20 hours of practical seminars for scientists, researchers, and university teachers in Ukraine.

The purpose of the special course:

  1. Understanding the importance of security as a basic European value.
  2. Dissemination and implementation of safe educational space concept based on European cultural values in today’s Ukrainian realities.

Goals of the special course:

– to study the concept of security in its diachronic and intercultural development;

– to expand modern interdisciplinary knowledge about the concept of “security”;

– to study European experience in creating a safe educational space in Ukraine;

– to acquire the basic security principles of intercultural communication and the EU cultural policy implementation.

  1. The accredited course “The concept of safe educational environment” for foreign students of the main faculties of SNAU.

Total number of hours – 60

I semester -30

II semester – 30

This course is the selective course for foreign students of SNAU.

It is aimed at understanding by the foreign students the concept of “safe educational environment” and the implementation of acquired knowledge and skills to achieve high results in learning and further activities.

It includes theoretical and practical material that is studied by students during classes that involve the use of interactive forms of learning.

During the course, students must master theoretical material that includes a wide range of terminology of the concept of “security”. They must be able to apply the acquired knowledge, adequately respond and interact with different types of risks.

  1. 3. Holding an all-Ukrainian sociolinguistic seminar “The notion of “security” in scientific and intercultural domestic (Ukrainian) and European discourses” Sections: philological, philosophical, pedagogical.

The purpose of the seminar:

– to draw public attention to current issues of the safe educational space;
