Senior Lecturer of the Department of Foreign Languages Olha Berestok, Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages Tetiana FOMENKO, and Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages Maryna BILOTSERKOVETS have completed training at the International School of Pedagogical Excellence titled “Research Insights in Vocational Pedagogical Education.” This program was part of the MOTIVET4UA project, “Promoting Multimodal Educational Practices and Teacher Competencies in Vocational Education and Training (VET): Cooperation between Ukraine and Finland.”
The goal of the International School of Pedagogical Excellence was to implement a professional development course built on the best practices of Finland, the EU, and Ukraine. Through this program, the lecturers enhanced their competencies in the theory and practice of vocational (vocational-technical) education, specifically aimed at addressing learning losses.
Within the framework of the training program, the lecturers mastered the following topics:
- Practices to overcome learning losses
- Vocational Teacher Education (VTE) and System Reform towards a competence-based approach
- Ecosystems of learning and continuous learning
- Sustainability and VET: From GreenComp Sustainability Competences to Pedagogical Practice
- Supporting efficient learning online
- Wisdom in practice
- The Politics of Stories: Understanding the Power of Narratives in the Age of the Hypernarrative Turn
