STUDENTS OF THE FACULTY OF BIOLOGY AND TECHNOLOGY JOINED THE CITY ACTION “LIGHT A CANDLE”

Today, students of the Faculty of Biology and Technology, together with their curator Hanna Petrenko, Deputy Dean for Educational Work Tetiana Kuchkova, Student Dean Alesia Zahorulko, and representatives of the student government, took part in the city event “LIGHT A CANDLE”, dedicated to commemorating the victims of the Holodomor.

Participants lit candles and paid tribute to the millions of innocent lives lost with a moment of silence. The event brought together students and the local community in a shared commitment to preserving history and passing on the truth about the Holodomor to future generations.

On the eve of the event, curator hours were held in the faculty’s academic groups, during which students deepened their understanding of the Holodomor, its causes, and its consequences for the Ukrainian people. Such meetings contributed to the formation of a conscious attitude toward the tragic pages of our history and the cultivation of respect for the past.
