On April 25, 2026, the “Spring Breeding Show” took place on the training grounds of the Faculty of Biology and Technology at Sumy National Agrarian University (SNAU). This vibrant cynological event brought together dog owners, club members, and faculty students.
The event was organized by Anastasiia Krasnianska, a graduate of the Faculty of Biology and Technology, and Nataliia Bozhko, an assistant at the Department of Animal Production and Processing Technology and Cynology, who also chairs the Sumy Regional Center of the Ukrainian Kennel Union (UKU). Their professionalism and dedication ensured the event was held to a high standard in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Liudmyla Valerianivna Bula, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences and Associate Professor of the Department, participated in the expert evaluation, providing professional assessments and sharing her extensive experience.
A special highlight of the event was the presentation of the new office for the Sumy Regional Center of the Ukrainian Kennel Union (UKU), which is now operating on the SNAU campus (Veterinary Faculty building). This opening creates new opportunities for students, including processing pedigree documentation, receiving expert consultations, and conducting practical training directly on university grounds.
Students from the Faculty of Biology and Technology actively participated in the event, both in its organization and in the competitions. We congratulate third-year student Yelyzaveta Malkova, who, together with her German Shepherd, Dakota, won the honorary 2nd place in the Best in Show competition.
Participants had the opportunity to receive professional descriptions of their dogs, engage with experts and colleagues, and enjoy a pleasant atmosphere. Guests were treated to gifts from the event partner, Royal Canin, as well as coffee and a festive reception.
We are proud that the event organizers are graduates of our faculty. This once again confirms the high level of professional training provided by the “Cynology” educational program and the strong connection between the Faculty of Biology and Technology and the professional community.
In today’s challenging environment, these events carry special significance. Thanks to the shelters available on the faculty grounds, the organizers successfully ensured everyone’s safety. For many, this was an opportunity to take a break, socialize, and support one another.
