PUBLIC PRESENTATION AND DEFENSE OF STUDENTS’ REPORTS FOLLOWING INDUSTRIAL PRACTICE

From September 8 to 10, 2025, the Faculty of Biology and Technology at Sumy National Agrarian University hosted the public defense of reports by third-year students based on their industrial practice at leading enterprises within the agricultural sector. This year, the event was conducted online, enabling the participation of a broader audience, including faculty representatives, practice supervisors, and students undertaking their practice in various regions.

During the defense, members of the examination committee posed in-depth questions aimed at assessing the level of students’ theoretical knowledge acquisition and its practical application under real production conditions. Discussions focused on the organization of technological processes, the use of modern methods in animal husbandry and food processing, compliance with sanitary and hygienic standards, as well as occupational safety measures.

The students presented the outcomes of their practice, shared their experiences, newly acquired skills, and impressions. Special attention was paid to issues of adaptation to production environments, analysis of management efficiency, introduction of innovative approaches at practice sites, and proposals for improving academic programs in line with the needs of the modern agricultural sector.

This format of public defense enhances the quality of professional training and encourages students to actively participate in both the educational and production processes. Additionally, it helps develop their communication and presentation skills. The event reaffirmed the strong collaboration between the faculty and agricultural enterprises, highlighting the effectiveness of the practical components in the university’s educational programs.
