PRACTICE-ORIENTED LEARNING: FIELD SESSION FOR STUDENTS AT THE RESEARCH FARM

On May 13, 2026, third-year students participated in a field practical session at the State Enterprise “Research Farm of the Institute of Agriculture of the North-East of the NAAS.”

The event was organized and conducted by faculty staff members: Associate Professor of the Department of Genetics, Breeding, and Animal Biotechnology, Yu.I. Skliarenko, and Associate Professor of the Department of Animal Production and Processing Technology and Cynology, T.O. Cherniavska, as part of the study of the educational components “Breeding of Farm Animals with Basics of Reproduction” and “Hygiene of Farm Animals.”

Having mastered the theoretical material, students had the opportunity to reinforce their knowledge in practice and develop skills in the following key topics:

Future specialists became thoroughly acquainted with the operation of an artificial insemination station. They were shown modern equipment, methods of storage and comprehensive quality assessment of sperm production, as well as the technology of artificial insemination of cows and heifers.

The field session served as an excellent example of combining theory and practice, allowing for the formation of professional competencies for future specialists in accordance with the modern requirements of the agricultural labor market.
