On February 9, 2026 at 1:00 PM, Associate Professor of the Department of Feed Technology and Animal Feeding Oleksandr Mykhalko joined the first webinar within the series of online events “Animal Welfare”. The topic of the first meeting was “Main aspects of Ukrainian and EU legislation in the field of animal welfare”.
The event was organized by the Scientific and Methodological Center for Higher and Pre-Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Science. The webinar series offers 30 hours of training, equivalent to 1 ECTS credit.
During the webinar, the current provisions of Ukrainian legislation and the European Union’s regulatory legal acts on ensuring the welfare of farm animals were considered. Particular attention was paid to the issues of harmonization of the national regulatory framework with European requirements, mechanisms of state control and responsibility of business entities.
Participation in the program contributes to improving professional qualifications and updating knowledge in the field of regulatory animal welfare in accordance with modern European standards.
