PARTICIPATION IN THE SCIENTIFIC-PRACTICAL CONFERENCE “DIGITALIZATION IN ANIMAL HUSBANDRY. COOPERATION BETWEEN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS AND AGRICULTURAL PRODUCERS”

On June 4, 2026, a scientific-practical conference titled “Digitalization in Animal Husbandry. Cooperation Between Educational Institutions and Agricultural Producers” was held at the Poltava State Agrarian University. The event was part of the implementation of the project “Support for Value-Added Milk Production by Family Farms, Development of Agro-scouting in Animal Husbandry,” which is being implemented by the Consulting Center of the Association of Milk Producers with support from the USAID AGRO Program.

Participants from the Sumy National Agrarian University (SNAU) included:

During the conference, Volodymyr Ladyka delivered a presentation titled “Formation of Micropopulations of Dairy Cattle with Unique Properties by Protein Fractions,” in which he highlighted modern approaches to the genetic improvement of dairy cattle and the prospects for applying selection results in practical animal husbandry.

In his speech, Volodymyr Ladyka also highlighted the importance of integrating science, education, and production in training future specialists. Specifically, he shared SNAU’s experience working with agricultural producers, which enables students from the Faculty of Biology and Technology and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine to gain practical skills in using modern digital technologies, robotic systems, and innovative equipment directly in the field.

Conference participants discussed topical issues regarding the digitalization of animal husbandry, automation of production processes, and the use of artificial intelligence in herd management, breeding, and animal reproduction. The event served as an effective platform for exchanging experience between representatives of educational institutions, research organizations, and the agribusiness sector.

We sincerely thank the conference organizers for the excellent event, for providing a platform for professional exchange, and for the opportunity to participate in discussions on urgent issues related to the digital transformation of animal husbandry.
