The part time education department of Biotechnology faculty of Sumy National Agrarian University was organized on May 6, 2016.
The faculty trains students of part time study by educational degrees "bachelor" and "master", educational and qualification level "specialist" in the following specialties:
"Production technology of livestock products"
"Aquatic bio-resources and aquaculture" - industrial fish farming, fishing and fish processing of the direction "Aquatic bio-resources"

Organization of educational work at the part time education department.
The organization of educational work at the part time education department is carried out according to the curricula, academic programs, methodological instructions for the study of disciplines, the training schedule, the plan of conducting laboratory-examination session.
Planning of the work of the part time education department.
The educational process at the part time education department of the Biotechnology faculty is carried out in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "About Higher Education", the Regulations on the organization of educational process at higher educational institutions approved by the order of the Ministry of Education of Ukraine from 02.06.1993. №161.
Educational process of the part time education department is organized by the dean of the faculty and is reflected in the following documentation of the department:

Citizens of Ukraine, regardless of the nature of their occupations and age, have the right to receive part time education.
Admission announcements are distributed by part-time students, full-time students, teachers attending production meetings and business trips. The establishment sends advertisements about the rules of admission for print in regional and district newspapers. Admission rules and enrollment procedures are repeatedly broadcasted by local, district and regional radio stations.
Linking of the training process to the industry.
It is carried out in the course of constituent classes and laboratory - examination sessions, as well as in the process of educational activities with students.
Practical training.
Productive pre-diploma practice is organized for part-time students before the first year of study (for specialists, masters) in November and September, lasting 30 calendar days, just before diploma projecting.
Pre-diploma practice is typically held by part-time students at their places of work (at the organizations they work for) as a dubbing master.
Prior to the beginning of pre-diploma practice during the laboratory - examination session part-time students are assigned the heads of diploma projecting, as well as consultants on sections of the project.
These heads of diploma projecting, as a rule, are appointed as the heads of pre-diploma practice.
The heads of diploma projecting (heads of pre-diploma practice), together with part-time students select places (objects) for pre-diploma practice, as well as topics for the diploma project.
Laboratory and practical classes are conducted during the period of constituent classes and laboratory - examination sessions in specialized laboratories and classrooms (the material base of the full-time education department is used). According to the results of laboratory (practical) work, students prepare reports and take tests.
The results of laboratory and practical works on special subjects are used in course projects.
Pedagogical activities.
Pedagogical work with part-time students is carried out in accordance with the plan of correspondence department of Biotechnology faculty in the following main areas:
- education of national consciousness, Ukrainian patriotism;
- education of hard working of conscious discipline, responsibility and pride for the chosen profession;
- moral and ethical education;
- legal education;
- environmental education;
- gender education.
Educational work is carried out in the process of teaching the disciplines and extra-curricular activities during the period of constituent classes, laboratory - examination sessions, as well as in the inter-sessional period.
