ON THE 4TH OF DECEMBER, 2025, AN ONLINE MEETING OF THE ENGLISH-SPEAKING CLUB WAS HELD.

On the 4th of December, 2025, an online meeting of the English-Speaking Club titled “Live Green: What We Can Do” was held.

The event was moderated by Yuliia Lushchyk, PhD in Pedagogical Sciences and Associate Professor at the Department of Foreign Languages.

During the session, participants discussed environmental challenges, the individual’s role in nature conservation, and the conceptual foundations of an “eco-friendly lifestyle.” Students exchanged their perspectives on daily behavioural practices that may help reduce negative impacts on the environment and reflected on the following discussion questions:

What environmental problems worry you the most?

What does “living green” mean to you?

What simple actions can we take to live greener?

Participants watched a thematic video in English, identified its key messages, and engaged in a structured discussion. The session enabled students to expand their environmental vocabulary, enhance their ability to articulate and justify personal viewpoints, and develop skills in responding to the ideas of others.

Overall, the meeting provided participants with an opportunity to practice English in the context of a meaningful global issue and to deepen their understanding of the concept of an eco-friendly lifestyle.
