A guest lecture entitled “Modern Pig Feeding Technologies in Northern European Countries: Innovations, Efficiency, and Prospects for Implementation in Ukraine” was held at the Faculty of Biology and Technology of Sumy National Agrarian University.
The lecture was delivered by Viktor NECHMILOV, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Research Fellow at the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine (NAAS), and an independent consultant in the field of pig production.
The event was organized as part of the academic course Technology of Production and Processing of Pig Products. During the lecture, students had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of modern approaches to pig feeding management and become familiar with feeding practices implemented in Northern European countries.
Particular attention was paid to innovative approaches to feed formulation, the use of feed ingredients and additives, improving feed utilization efficiency, and optimizing animal productivity. The lecture also addressed resource-efficient technologies, the economic aspects of pig feeding, and opportunities for adapting European experience to the conditions of industrial pig production in Ukraine.
