Oleksandr Mykhalko, Associate Professor at Sumy National Agrarian University, delivered a guest lecture at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU, Uppsala) as part of the Erasmus+ Staff Exchange program.
The event took place within the framework of the “Animal Food Science” course and was part of international cooperation between Ukrainian and Swedish scientists. Together with his colleague from Ukraine, researcher Yevheniia Dudnyk, he presented modern approaches to the production and quality of poultry products.
Oleksandr Mykhalko delivered a lecture titled “Poultry Production Systems,” in which he detailed the structure of the industry, technological approaches, and the main challenges facing modern poultry farming.
A key feature of the lecture was the presentation of the Ukrainian experience, which allowed SLU students to observe the differences in production systems, regulatory frameworks, and approaches to managing the industry in Ukraine and Sweden.
The guest lectures sparked strong interest among students and faculty and encouraged lively discussions, emphasizing the value of international knowledge exchange and scientific methods.
Participating in the Erasmus+ program helps expand academic cooperation, share experiences, and develop joint scientific projects between Ukraine and Sweden.
