On May 4, 2026, a guest lecture in English was held at the Department of Foreign Languages at SNAU.
Invited Lecturer: Tetiana Vasylivna Tonenchuk, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages for Natural Sciences at the Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University.
Lecture Topic: Mastering Teamwork and Interpersonal Skills Assessment.
The lecturer highlighted the importance of using teamwork in foreign language classes, methodologies for assessing students’ skills during team projects, and shared her own experience in implementing teamwork while teaching a foreign language.
She presented her own criteria for assessing students’ skills during teamwork, provided examples of assessment (what to assess and how), presented methods for assessing teamwork during online classes, and offered tips on how to achieve success and which online platforms and internet resources are appropriate to use.
An emphasis was also placed on the function and role of the foreign language teacher in the process of organizing and conducting teamwork.
Attendees had the opportunity to ask the lecturer questions and receive advice on motivating students during teamwork and how to assess student performance effectively.
