Yuliia SHCHERBYNA, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Foreign Languages of Sumy National Agrarian University, completed the online course on foreign language teaching methodology “Online Teaching 101”, developed by the Grade Education Center.
The course curriculum covered the following modules:
- Online vs. offline learning;
- Overview of online learning platforms;
- Online tools for interactive learning;
- Building effective interaction in class;
- Communication with students during lessons;
- Problems of online learning and ways to solve them.
During the course, the dynamics of online and offline learning formats were explored, the functional capabilities of the most popular educational platforms were analyzed, and the organization of interaction between the lecturer and students in a virtual learning environment was examined.
Particular focus was given to effective pedagogical communication techniques and the use of digital tools and technologies that help boost students’ motivation and engagement during distance and blended learning.
