Education

1992–1997 — Studied at H. S. Skovoroda Kharkiv State Pedagogical University, specialty “Ukrainian Language and Literature and English.”

2013–2017 — Doctoral applicant at H. S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University.

2018 — Defended the dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences in the specialty 13.00.04 – Theory and Methods of Professional Education on the topic “Developing sociocultural competence of future agrarian specialists in the process of studying the humanities.”

Professional Experience

1996–2009 — Teacher of English and Ukrainian; English lecturer at Putyvl Agricultural Technical School and the Sumy Branch of the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management.

Since 2009 — Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor, Department of Foreign Languages, Sumy National Agrarian University.

Main courses taught: “Foreign Language (English),” “Foreign Language for Specific Purposes,” “Ukrainian as a Foreign Language,” “Communication in an International Environment and Higher Education Pedagogy.”

Research Work

Research area: foreign language teaching methodology, innovative technologies, internationalization of agrarian higher education, intercultural communication, sociocultural competence, media literacy, emotional intelligence.

Grants: grant for the international teaching and research project “EU strategies extrapolation for boosting students’ media literacy in Ukrainian HE” (Erasmus+, Jean Monnet Module, 2022–2025).

Professional Development

  • April 21 – May 31, 2025 — Professional development program “Soft Skills in Higher Education: EU Expertise” at the National University of Ostroh Academy within the Jean Monnet Center of Excellence “Hub of European Solutions” (180 hours, 6 ECTS credits).
