Born on September 8, 1980, Sumy

Sklyarenko Yu.I. started in 2002 as a senior laboratory assistant at the Animal Husbandry Department of the Sumy APV Institute after graduating from the Sumy National Agrarian University. In 2003, he entered postgraduate studies at the Institute of Animal Breeding and Genetics of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, specializing in animal breeding and selection. In the same year, he was transferred to the position of junior researcher. He finished his postgraduate studies in 2006 and was transferred to the position of a research associate. In the same year, he was elected chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Postgraduate Students of the Sumy Institute of APV. In 2008, he defended his thesis for the degree of Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, specializing in animal breeding and selection, at the Specialized Scientific Council No. D27.355.01 of the Institute of Animal Breeding and Genetics of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences of Ukraine dated June 17, 2008 (protocol No. 13-09/9 dated December 3, 2008 .).

In 2009, he was transferred to the position of senior researcher. In the same year Sklyarenko Yu.I. Scholarship of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for young scientists was appointed.

By decision of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Animal Breeding and Genetics of the National Academy of Sciences dated October 6, 2010, protocol No. 31-09/6 Yu.I. Sklyarenko. was awarded the academic title of senior researcher (Certificate of Senior Researcher of the Academy of Sciences No. 007590).

In 2012, he was appointed to the position of head of the Animal Husbandry Laboratory of the Sumy APV Institute.

In 2013, by order of the director of the Institute, he was approved as the scientific secretary of the Institute of Agriculture of the Northeast of the National Academy of Sciences. While working as a scientific secretary Sklyarenko Yu.I. performs part-time duties as the head of the animal husbandry and fodder production laboratory of the Institute of Agriculture of the Northeast of the National Academy of Sciences.

Since 2017, he has participated in the implementation of scientific research works of the Sumy NAU: Develop methodological recommendations for ensuring a sufficient level of heterozygosity of specifically defined herds. To develop a program for the preservation and selection of brown breeds (state registration number 0117U004253) and the Methodology for the formation of livestock micropopulations with unique productive properties using breeding, genetic and biotechnological methods (state registration number 0120U102006).

In 2018, he entered doctoral studies at the Sumy National University of Science and Technology. In 2019, he defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Agricultural Sciences in the specialty of animal breeding and selection in the Specialized Scientific Council D 27.355.01 at the M.V. Zubets Institute of Animal Breeding and Genetics of the National Academy of Sciences.

Starting in 2021, he was accepted as an associate professor at the Sumy NAU and teaches practical classes on the discipline of breeding agricultural animals with the basics of reproduction.
