Bio-technology faculty of Sumy National Agrarian University was founded in 1978.
The training of specialists at the faculty combines acquisition of professional knowledge about animal husbandry with practical training, study of fundamentals of technological processes in the processing industry.
Implementation of the latest technologies and Ukraine’s entry into the world community require qualified specialists. Technologist becomes a key figure in the modern production and processing of livestock products.
During existence of the faculty were conducted 30 graduations of research-technologists for the production and processing of livestock products which are working at private enterprises, state institutions, customs, border troops, enterprises processing livestock products and some of them have their own business. Now bio-technology faculty of Sumy NAU is the real educational and scientific-methodical center of animal husbandry at the north-eastern region of Ukraine. There are 6 doctors of sciences at the departments of the faculty, professors, among whom is academician corresponding member of NAASU, 20 associate professors.
Magistracy studying is carried out according to the following educational programs:
technology of production and processing of livestock products; cynology; technology of milk and beef production; innovation technologies and business processes in livestock breeding.
