We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the
All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference
“Animal-Assisted Therapy (Human–Animal Interaction) for Health Promotion, Prevention of Health Problems, and Rehabilitation in Challenging Life Circumstances: Challenges, Insights, Prospects”
which was held online on April 12–13, 2025.
Over the course of two days, participants had the opportunity to engage with more than 20 presentations offered by both Ukrainian and international experts from Israel, the United Kingdom, Romania, the Czech Republic, Greece, Belgium, Japan, as well as leading practitioners of animal-assisted therapy from across Ukraine.
Key topics included:
- Therapeutic human-animal interaction in PTSD, trauma, and in providing support for children with special educational needs
- Equine-assisted therapy for the rehabilitation of Ukrainian Armed Forces service members
- Canine-assisted therapy for children affected by occupation and in palliative care
•Academic approaches to teaching and research in the field of animal-assisted therapy
• Preparation, selection, and assessment of animals for therapeutic work
