A meeting with the stakeholders of the H2 “Animal Husbandry” specialty was held at the Faculty of Biology and Technology on 10 March 2025, as part of the process of designing and updating that year’s educational programmes.
The meeting was attended by the members of the project groups, support teams for the Educational Professional Programme and the Educational Scientific Programme, representatives of the academic community, students of the first, second and third levels of higher education, local government officials, and employers. Among the participants were Oleksandr TYMCHENKO – Chief Zootechnician of the Agricultural Farm “Vitalia” in the Konotop District of Sumy Region; Yurii SKLIARENKO – Senior Researcher and Head at the Animal Husbandry and Feed Production Laboratory of the Institute of Agriculture of the North-East of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences; Yurii PRIAZHNIKOV – Head of the Certification and Quality Control Department at “ RPE Hlobynskyi Pig Complex` Ltd”; Ihor YEREMEICHUK – Director of the Private Enterprise “Burynske”; Oleksandr BORDUN – Senior Researcher at the Institute of Agriculture of the North-East of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences; Pavlo STAROSTENKO – Head of the Canine Centre of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Sumy Region, holding the rank of Major; and Hanna PEREKRESTOVA – Chief Technologist at “Dairy Production Complex ‘Yekaterynoslavskyi’ Ltd” in Dnipropetrovsk Region.
During the meeting, the prospects for the development of both the Educational Professional and Educational Scientific Programmes implemented at the faculty were discussed. These include the Educational Professional Programme “Technology of Production and Processing of Animal Husbandry Products” for the first (Bachelor’s) and second (Master’s) levels of higher education; the Educational Professional Programme “Canine Studies” for the second (Master’s) level; and the Educational Scientific Programme “Technology of Production and Processing of Animal Husbandry Products” for the third level – Doctor of Philosophy. Additionally, information was provided regarding the new Educational Professional Programme “Canine Studies” for the first (Bachelor’s) level, alongside further prospects for the faculty’s development. The meeting was conducted in the format of a constructive dialogue. Following the presentation of the draft educational programmes – Bachelor, Master and Doctor of Philosophy – the stakeholders emphasised the importance of training specialists in the H2 “Animal Husbandry” specialty and provided valuable suggestions for enhancing the content of the educational programmes. Sincere gratitude is extended to all participants for their active engagement and dedication to the training of specialists in the H2 “Animal Husbandry” specialty.
Overall, all participants underlined the significance of the event, which positively contributes to improving the quality of training specialists capable of solving complex and multifaceted challenges in the field of animal science.
