A group of representatives from the Faculty of Biology and Technology conducted a working visit to the private agricultural enterprise, agrofirm “Pioneer”, and held career orientation events at Chupakhivska Secondary School. The guests were personally welcomed by the head of Chupakhivska United Territorial Community, Oleksandr Volodymyrovych Kuzhel, who introduced them to the activities of the enterprise.
As part of the visit, faculty members visited a meat and dairy complex, a freshwater fish farming enterprise, and a unique buffalo breeding farm. The lecturers and young researchers noted the high level of production organisation, modern technologies in use, and careful approach to animal welfare. The enterprise owns and operates its own processing facilities for livestock and crop products, which enables it to supply high-quality goods locally and establish new jobs.
As part of the career orientation meeting at Chupakhivska Secondary School, prospective students learned about study opportunities at the Faculty of Biology and Technology, as well as the career development and potential employment.
As a result of the visit, ways of further cooperation between the faculty and agrofirm “Pioneer” were outlined, in particular the possibility for students to undertake internships and obtain future employment. The visit lays the foundation of new opportunities for young professionals in the fields of animal husbandry and aquaculture.
