On June 2, 2026, a significant event for the Department of Feed Technology and Animal Nutrition took place at the Sumy National Agrarian University – the successful dissertation defense by PhD student Ihor Stepanovych MOISEI.
The defense was conducted in a one-time specialized academic council for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the specialty 204 “Technology of Production and Processing of Livestock Products” (Field of study 20 “Agricultural Sciences and Food”). Order No. 557/os dated April 1, 2026, “On the formation of a one-time specialized academic council for awarding the degree of Doctor of Philosophy.”
Dissertation Topic: “Improvement of industrial pork production technology through innovative technological solutions.”
Scientific Supervisor: Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor of the Department of Feed Technology and Animal Nutrition at Sumy NAU, Mykola Hryhorovych POVOD.
In his presentation, Ihor Moisei shared the results of years of scientific and practical research conducted at the LLC “NVP “Globynskyi Pig Complex” in the Poltava region. The work is dedicated to one of the most pressing issues in modern pig farming – the development and implementation of innovative technological solutions in industrial pork production. The findings hold significant scientific and practical value, contributing to increased industry efficiency, the improvement of production processes, and ensuring the sustainable development of modern pig farming.

After an open vote, the council members unanimously agreed to award Ihor Moisei the degree of Doctor of Philosophy.
