In the modern landscape of higher education, non-formal education is gaining significant importance, enabling students to expand their professional competencies, acquire relevant practical knowledge, and integrate contemporary experience into their studies.
The Faculty of Biology and Technology actively supports student participation in non-formal learning programs and has implemented a mechanism for recognizing results obtained outside of formal education.
In accordance with the requirements of Ukrainian legislation and internal university regulations, the faculty partially credited the learning outcomes achieved by students of the “Technology of Production and Processing of Livestock Products” Bachelor’s program. The basis for this recognition was certificates earned through training on the AgriAcademy platform in April 2026.
Students successfully completed the course “Biosafety for Hunting Farms,” and the results were incorporated into the study of the “Biosafety in Livestock Production” educational component. Specifically, topics related to biological safety in the dairy, pig, and poultry sectors, as well as issues regarding the use of genetically modified organisms and the legal regulation of biosafety and bioethics, were credited.
Students from various academic groups specializing in the “Technology of Production and Processing of Livestock Products” participated in the credit transfer process, underscoring young people’s active engagement in additional professional development programs.
Non-formal education helps develop competitive specialists, boosts motivation for self-improvement, and ensures the ability to incorporate modern knowledge into the professional training of future technologists in the livestock industry.
