On April 16, 2026, a meeting of the German-speaking conversation club was held.
The topic of the meeting was: “Feste und Feiertage in Deutschland”.
The moderator of the online meeting was Yulia Shcherbina, senior lecturer at the Department of Foreign Languages.
The following issues were discussed during the meeting:
- Welche Feste und Feiertage gibt es in Deutschland?
- Welche Feiertage sind offiziell und welche sind traditionell?
- Wie feiern die Deutschen Weihnachten, Ostern und Oktoberfest?
- Welche Bräuche und Traditionen sind besonders interessant?
- Gibt es ähnliche Feiertage in Ihrem Land?
- Welcher Feiertag ist Ihr Lieblingsfest und warum?
During the lesson, students got acquainted with the main holidays and traditions of Germany, discussed the features of celebrating Christmas, New Year, Easter, and compared the cultural traditions of Germany and Ukraine. Participants actively discussed issues and worked in pairs. Special attention was paid to the correct use of thematic vocabulary in oral speech. Various lexical exercises, interactive tasks, watching a video and communicative situations contributed to the active involvement of students and increased their motivation to learn German.
