INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION AND ACADEMIC MOBILITY: SNAU’S EXPERIENCE IN SWEDEN

The Faculty of Biology and Technology of Sumy National Agrarian University continues to actively develop international cooperation by joining academic mobility and experience exchange programs with leading European educational institutions.

Within the framework of the Erasmus+ program, SNAU lecturers participated in an international internship at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (Sweden). The visit became part of the systematic cooperation between Ukrainian and European agricultural universities, which is implemented based on signed partnership memoranda and is aimed at developing educational and scientific interaction.

Of particular value to the Swedish university students was the Ukrainian experience in managing the industry, which allowed them to compare different production models caused by differences in climatic conditions, regulatory frameworks, and historical traditions of the agricultural sector’s development.

At the same time, the internship had a bilateral nature. Representatives of SNAU became acquainted with modern approaches to the analysis of biological materials, the latest methods in food technologies, and also took part in scientific seminars and professional discussions. This contributed to the formation of new ideas for further research and the strengthening of scientific contacts.

It is important that such exchanges are not only educational but also strategic. They open new opportunities for joint scientific projects, increase the quality of student training, and promote the integration of Ukrainian agricultural science into the European space.

Despite the difficult conditions in which Ukraine is currently working, the academic community demonstrates resilience and a desire for development. SNAU’s international cooperation is a vivid example of how knowledge, experience, and partnership overcome borders and shape the future of agricultural education.
