On March 12, 2026, a meeting of the English-Speaking Club took place.

The moderator of the online meeting was Oksana Lytvynko, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor at the Department of Foreign Languages. The guest speaker was Bradley CIMO from Arizona, USA.

Topic: “A Sound Mind in a Sound Body”

During the meeting, participants discussed the following questions:

  1. What activities can help people keep both their body and mind healthy?
  2. Why is it important for students to balance studying and physical activity?
  3. Is it harmful to eat junk food?
  4. Why is it important to spend time outdoors?
  5. What habits can people develop to keep their mind and body strong?

Bradley CIMO shared his personal experience regarding a healthy lifestyle and spoke about the importance of consuming healthy food. During the meeting, students actively joined the discussion, participated in debates, and completed a series of engaging and informative tasks. Specifically, the participants shared their own methods of rest and recovery after studies and watched a thematic video, which served as a basis for further discussion.

The event contributed to the development of students’ communicative skills, critical thinking, and creativity. Furthermore, participants had the opportunity to enrich their vocabulary and improve their ability to express their opinions in English. The atmosphere was friendly and motivating, which helped students feel confident while communicating. Such meetings are valuable for the development of language competence and the formation of effective communication skills.
