FEBRUARY IS THE MONTH OF NATIONAL AWARENESS AND PATRIOTIC EDUCATION

During February, the Faculty of Biology and Technology held a series of tutorial hours dedicated to significant dates in Ukrainian history and statehood. The last two weeks of the month were especially eventful, uniting students around the themes of unity, national dignity, and historical memory.

On the occasion of Unity Day, they discussed the importance of consolidating Ukrainian society in the face of modern challenges and the responsibility of each citizen for the future of the state.

On the occasion of International Mother Language Day, students spoke about the role of the Ukrainian language as the basis of national identity, the spiritual strength of the people, and a factor in national security.

The tutorial hours were dedicated to the Day of the State Emblem of Ukraine – a symbol of the continuity of state-building traditions, the strength, and invincibility of the Ukrainian nation.

As part of the celebration of Ukrainian Women’s Day, attention was focused on the role of women in the history of the state, their contribution to the development of science, education, culture and the struggle for the independence of Ukraine.

A separate important topic was the commemoration of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, whose feat became a symbol of the struggle for freedom, dignity and the European choice of Ukraine. Students, together with their tutors, observed a minute of silence to reflect on the significance of the Revolution of Dignity for modern state-building.

A special place in the tutorial hours was occupied by the anniversary of the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine. Students spoke about the resilience of the Ukrainian people, the heroism of the military and the importance of unity in the conditions of a long struggle for independence.

In the conditions of a full-scale war, educational work acquires special importance. It is through such meetings that a civic position, responsibility, respect for historical memory and awareness of one’s own role in the future of Ukraine are formed. February became for the faculty a month of deep reflection on national identity, cohesion and spiritual stability of the academic community.

We remember. United. Unbreakable.
