Today, 3rd year students had the opportunity to deepen their professional competencies during a laboratory lesson in the discipline “Milk Processing Technology”, which was conducted by the assistant of the Department of Genetics, Breeding and Biotechnology of Animals Tetiana Kuchkova.
Within the framework of the topic “Determination of organoleptic and physicochemical indicators of milk”, students not only consolidated theoretical knowledge but also practiced practical skills in assessing the quality of dairy raw materials. Students determined organoleptic indicators (smell, taste, color, consistency, appearance) and the main physicochemical properties of milk, which are the determining criteria for its quality and safety.
The mixed format of the lesson promoted active participation and effective learning of the material. This method helps develop practical skills for future specialists and boosts their readiness for careers in the field of livestock product technology.
