REPORT ON THE SEMINAR “BLENDED LEARNING DURING MARTIAL LAW: CHALLENGES, STRATEGIES, AND RESULTS”

Objective of the Event: To examine the role of blended learning in Ukrainian universities during wartime; analyze challenges posed by martial law conditions; investigate the adaptability of Ukrainian higher education institutions in implementing blended learning to ensure the continuity of the educational process; and provide a comprehensive understanding of how blended learning serves as a vital tool for supporting and developing higher education in Ukraine despite the ongoing war.

Seminar Proceedings: The seminar was attended by faculty members from the Department of Foreign Languages at Sumy National Agrarian University. The following reports were presented:

Participants explored the critical characteristics of blended learning in current conditions, including: Flexible Scheduling (FS), Hybrid Attendance (HA), Psychological Support (PS), and Military Preparedness (MP), all of which contribute to the continuity of the educational process.

During the seminar, the results of monitoring various studies on the challenges and prospects of blended learning in higher education institutions in the current context were presented to participants.

Results and Conclusions: Following the seminar, participants concluded that:

Recommendations were adopted to develop internal methodological guidelines for implementing effective blended learning strategies in unstable environments.

The seminar took place in a constructive and productive atmosphere, fostering professional experience exchange and the development of shared approaches to improving the efficiency of the educational process under martial law.
