GUEST LECTURE BY OLEKSANDRA BEREHOVENKO: “BASIC PRINCIPLES OF DOG BEHAVIOR CORRECTION”

On September 19, 2025, a guest lecture was held for students enrolled in the “Cynology” Educational Program, specifically within the elective discipline “Psychophysiology of Dog Behavior Formation”. The speaker was Oleksandra Berehovenko, founder and head of the Center for Social Cynology ”Harmonic Dog” and the School of Habilitation, Rehabilitation, and Canine Therapy “Child and Dog”, Lviv. She is a FCI expert, developer of various canine methods, rehabilitation, and training programs, as well as a presenter of training programs on canine therapy and seminars on psychophysiology and dog behavior. The lecture, titled “Basic Principles of Dog Behavior Correction,” provided students with the opportunity to receive advice and develop action plans for specific practical cases involving dogs. Although the lecture lasted nearly three hours, the time was insufficient to address all of the students’ questions. We are eagerly anticipating our next meeting with Oleksandra Berehovenko and look forward to the possibility of hosting a face-to-face seminar at the university on topics related to shaping dog behavior.
