On September 12, 2025, the Faculty of Biology and Technology of Sumy National Agrarian University successfully held the defense of students’ reports following their research practice.
Research practice is an essential part of the educational process, aimed at consolidating theoretical knowledge, developing practical research skills, and fostering students’ ability to analyze results and apply them in their future professional activities.
During the practice, students carried out individual tasks tailored to their academic interests, future thesis topics, and pressing challenges of the agricultural sector. They collected experimental data, conducted laboratory analyses, processed results under production conditions, and participated in the activities of research groups at the faculty.
During the defense, students presented their research findings, demonstrated critical thinking, and made evidence-based conclusions. The examination committee, composed of faculty members from leading departments, noted the students’ strong preparation, motivation for research, and ability to apply acquired knowledge to practical tasks.
Particular attention was paid to issues of academic integrity, research methodology, and the prospects for implementing innovative technologies in animal husbandry, biotechnology, and food science. Students also shared ideas for improving production processes, increasing efficiency, and maintaining ecological balance.
The completion of the research practice defense not only summarized the students’ achievements but also marked the beginning of their further scientific endeavors. The acquired skills and results will be applied in course and diploma projects, serving as a foundation for participation in scientific conferences, grant programs, and competitions.
