A scientific webinar on the topic “Biodiversity of Aquatic Ecosystems” was held as part of international cooperation between specialists from Ukraine and the Republic of Armenia.
Researchers from the following institutions participated in the event:
- National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia
- Armenian National Agrarian University
- Sumy National Agrarian University
- National University of Water Management and Environmental Engineering
During the event, current scientific reports were presented, focusing on environmental challenges, aquaculture issues, and the preservation of biodiversity in aquatic ecosystems.
Reports from the representatives of Sumy National Agrarian University (SNAU) included the following:
- “Consequences of the Ecological Catastrophe from the Criminal Military Actions of the Russian Federation and Their Impact on the Biodiversity and Bioresources of the Seim and Desna Rivers” presented by Viacheslav Popsui, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor.
- “Aquaculture in the Sumy Region: Value Chain Analysis and Prospects” presented by Oleksandr Mykhalko, PhD.
The webinar served as an effective platform for scientific dialogue, the exchange of experiences, and the formation of common approaches to preserving aquatic ecosystems in a regional and international context.
