1989–1994: Kyiv University named after Taras Shevchenko, specialty ‘Microbiology’; qualification ‘Biologist-immunologist, teacher of biology and chemistry’.
1994–1998: Postgraduate studies at the Institute of Veterinary Medicine and the Institute of Animal Breeding and Genetics, NAAS.
2005: PhD in Agricultural Sciences, specialty 03.00.15 – Genetics. Thesis: ‘Population-Genetic Monitoring of the Gene Pool of Ukrainian Black-and-White Dairy Cattle’.
2010: Awarded the academic title of Senior Research Fellow in Genetics.
2021: Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, specialty 06.02.01 – Animal Breeding and Selection. Thesis: ‘Methodology for Identifying Animals of the Desired Type in Dairy Cattle Breeding’.
Professional Experience
2001–2005: Junior Researcher, Institute of Animal Breeding and Genetics named after M.V. Zubets, NAAS.
2005–2020: Head of Population Monitoring Laboratory, same institute.
Since 2020: Head of Cattle Breeding Department, Institute of Animal Breeding and Genetics, NAAS.
Since 2024: Professor, Department of Genetics, Breeding, and Biotechnology of Animals, Sumy National Agrarian University.
Teaching Activities: Animal Genetics, Molecular Biology.
Scientific Focus:
Development and improvement of selection programs for dairy cattle, genetic and population monitoring, molecular technologies in livestock breeding.
Scientific Achievements
Author of 98 scientific papers, including publications indexed in international databases, co-author of monographs, catalogs, programs, and methodological guidelines. Holder of a patent and copyright certificates. Developer of 5 national dairy cattle breeding programs and 2 conservation programs for local breeds. Co-author of 8 breeding achievements in Ukrainian Red-and-White dairy cattle.
Supervised 2 PhD theses; currently supervises 3 PhD candidates.
